<a href="https://getaprofessor.com/members/jannaarmada/">Janna Threza Armada</a> posted an update in the group <a href="https://getaprofessor.com/groups/mt-30-ij-lec/">MT 30 - IJ (LEC)</a> Circulatory System: Developing Speed Qualities in Youth Athletes

The circulatory system is essential to human function at rest and to the ability to adapt to the demands of acute and chronic activity. The cardiovascular system, together with the respiratory system, is in charge of supplying oxygen and nutrients to the active tissues via the bloodstream (Stanfield, 2012). During an acute exercise session, the circulatory system increases oxygen and substrate supply to the working muscles to match the exercise\'s adenosine triphosphate (ATP) demand (Stanfield, 2012). The intensity of exercise and heart rate have a linear connection. Cardiovascular endurance measures one\'s capacity to maintain intensive exercise over time.
