Kyra Kris Lequin posted an update As the Histopathology laboratory deals with lots of biohazardous specimens, it is crucial to have full knowledge and awareness of pathobiology, to produce an accurate reading and valid results. It is also critical to ensure the safety of both workers and the environment. The most common safety concerns in a histopathology lab are those involving potentially hazardous chemicals, biohazardous materials, accidents involving the equipment and instrumentation used, and general risks from electrical and fire hazards. The purpose of this article is to discuss a quality management system that can ensure quality performance in a histopathology laboratory. The hazards in pathology laboratories, as well as practical safety measures aimed at controlling the dangers, are also discussed with the goal of promoting safety consciousness and laboratory safety practice.

As stated in the article below, accidents occur even inside the laboratory because of improper machine/device calibration and the specimen handler's fault. It is important to promote and retain the integrity of the specimen being handled to preserve its morphology to avoid false results. To conclude, safety in the laboratory could be attained by embodying the risk management guidelines.

 MUSCLE TISSUE
Muscle tissue is made up of cells with the unique ability to shorten or contract in response to the movement of body components. The tissue is densely cellular and well-vascularized. Because the cells are long and slender, they are occasionally referred to as muscle fibers, and they are typically organized in bundles or layers surrounded by connective tissue. Actin and myosin are muscle contractile proteins.

Skeletal muscle tissue, smooth muscle tissue, and cardiac muscle tissue are all types of muscle tissue.
