Debunk’d 4 years, 2 months ago Here’s what the doctors have to say:The FDA has not approved Ivermectin for use in people or animals to prevent or treat COVID-19. It is licensed to treat parasitic worm infestations, head lice, and skin diseases such as rosacea in humans.
Ivermectin pills are still undergoing clinical trials regarding the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in humans. Current evidence shows that it does not appear to be effective against COVID-19.
Ivermectin in high doses can be hazardous. Do not administer medications intended for animals to human subjects. Animal-specific ivermectin is not the same as human-specific ivermectin and consuming the former as prevention or cure to COVID-19 in humans is dangerous.
What remains the most effective ways to limit the spread of the virus include getting a COVID-19 vaccine and following the current CDC guidance.
