Histology Art (MT 30 – I) 3 years, 9 months ago The Muscle tissues are composed of cells that have the special ability to shorten and contract thus, allowing movement and motion of the body parts. There are 3 main types of Muscle tissues namely: Cardiac muscle, skeletal muscle and smooth muscle.
Attached hereafter is an illustration of the varying types of Muscle tissues and their different common locations in the human body.
