Histology Art (MT30 – G) 3 years, 9 months ago Hola mi amigos y amigas! I made this histology art about muscle tissue.
Fun fact! Do you know that your muscles are built during sleep? Sure, going to the gym and lifting weights is a good way to build muscle strength. Muscles, on the other hand, expand during sleep. When you’re deeply asleep, all of your busy muscles can finally relax, allowing for better blood circulation.

Skeletal muscle: Skeletal muscles make up 30 to 40% of your total body weight. They’re the muscles that attach to your bones and allow you to move and operate in a variety of ways. Skeletal muscles are voluntary, which means you have complete control over how and when they contract. -
Smooth muscle: Smooth muscle, also known as involuntary muscle, is a type of muscle that has no cross stripes when viewed under a microscope. It aids with digestion and nutrient collection in the stomach and intestines. It can be found throughout the urinary system, where it aids in the removal of pollutants and maintains electrolyte balance. -
Cardiac muscle: Cardiac muscle is a striated muscle tissue that only exists in the heart and is important for the heart’s capacity to pump blood.
