Layout using Canva and ProcreateThe LARGE INTESTINE is the final segment of your gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which is a lengthy, tube-like channel via which food passes through your digestive system. It runs from the small intestine to the anal canal, where food waste is expelled from the body.
The ILEUM is the small intestine’s last section. It attaches to the cecum (first part of the large intestine). The ileum aids in the digestion of food that has passed through the stomach and other portions of the small intestine. It absorbs nutrients (vitamins, minerals, carbs, fats, proteins), as well as water, from meals so that the body may use them.
The GALLBLADDER is a sac that sits beneath the liver. Bile produced by the liver is stored and concentrated in this organ. Bile facilitates fat digestion and is secreted from the gallbladder into the upper small intestine in response to food consumption (especially fats).
