Microscopic Photos of Reproductive System Tissue Slides 4 years, 1 month ago Vagina is an elastic, muscular tube with a soft and flexible lining that provides lubrication and sensation. The vagina connects the uterus to the outside world. The vagina is lined with stratified squamous epithelium with a small degree of keratinization. The vagina enables a female to experience sexual pleasure, channles period blood outside the body and plays a role in pregnancy and childbirth.References:
