    Epididymis

The “epididymis” is made up of the “ductulis efferentes” and the “ductus epididymus.” These ducts are tightly wound and make up a single tube in the epididymis that can be up to 6 meters long. This means that different parts of it are on different slides.

Spermatozoa that have grown up and are ready to fertilize an egg are stored in the “ductus epidymis.” This is where fluid is taken in, and the epithelium also makes secretions.

The epithelium is “pseudostratified,” with long, immobile “sterocilia” that are actually very long microvilli. These are thought to be involved in absorbing fluid. The cells are believed to be secretory, although the nature of the secretions is unknown.
