    • One word that describes scientific management is EFFICIENCY.  In the early 1900s, employers were less concerned with finding individuals with specific skills and more interested in finding those motivated to work hard and see the job through to its end. Moreover, men make up most of the workforce and are compensated according to a fair day’s work.  In the current century, however, employers pick employees with specific sets of abilities, years of experience, and confidence. In addition to keeping tabs on employee output, they also give training and supervision to ensure everyone is working at peak efficiency. Furthermore, with that, we come to the end of Frederick Taylor’s scientific management theory, which has been applied with great success in a wide range of businesses.
