From what I learned in the video, scientific management theory is a great way to increase productivity through a scientific process that improves management methods. By selecting workers with the right skills, eliminating the concept of working by “rule of thumb,” and providing training and supervision, the managers are able to increase the productivity of their employees. I chose this theory because I can see that this approach will greatly benefit our organization. Every member of an organization must contribute to a field in which they excel. Appropriate personnel must be assigned to areas that they are good at so that the organization will be successful. It would also increase productivity and efficiency, both of which contribute to the growth of the organization and its members.
