Histopathology is a science through which the image is placed in the framework of knowledge of pathobiology, to arrive at an appropriate diagnosis. It is an art of studying and interpreting the forms, sizes, and architectural patterns of cells and tissues within a particular unique clinical backdrop. All the processes and activities of the histopathology laboratory should be precisely assessed and monitored in order to operate efficiently and safely.

The idea of quality control is applicable to pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes in a histopathology laboratory. The importance of ensuring the environment’s and working people’s safety cannot be overstated.
Specifically, accidents involving the equipment and instrumentation used, biohazardous materials, potentially hazardous substances, and general dangers from electrical and fire hazards are the main safety concerns that may arise in a histopathology lab.

It is in my understanding that precautions and safety measures should be done properly and correctly to avoid any accident in the Histology Lab for everything is considered infectious.
