For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

What is a Sillimaninan (for you)
For me, Sillimaninans are students that are capable of academic excellence and are able to make contributions to their communities education and culture. Yes, technically having their lanyard, merch and other university paraphernalia can make it seem that you were once or still are a Sillimaninan. But Sillimaninans are more than just students that have physical symbols of their university rather they embody the values, spirit, and principles that Sillimaninan University stands for. Being taught the 5 C’s of the university and its mission and vision we are taught what values and beliefs we need to uphold as ambassadors of the school. All in all, Being a Sillimaninan are people who carry the spirit of their alma mater with them and continue to make meaningful contributions for their community and themselves. What is your view on the mental aspect of man
For me the mental aspect of a man is a very intricate and multifaceted phenomenon. It is what makes us different from the rest of the animals and it is what makes us human. Our mental aspect is complex and an integral part of what makes us who we are today and how we make our choices. It shapes our thoughts, behaviors, emotions, and interactions with our environment. Our mind helps us to be knowledgeable of what we are doing and what choices we make when we are presented with one. Its intricate and complex capacity makes us think differently from one another and have the potential to be distinct from each other.

Reflection: Romans Chapter 1, 2, & 3Romans Chapter 1, 2, and 3 were letters written by Paul that explore human nature, sin, and God’s virtue.
Chapter 1 opens us to the idea that humans nowadays are more focused on their sinful nature and there are consequences of us straying away from God. God’s existence is everywhere around us and he has let us know that he is there, yet many choose to delve into idolatry and sinful sexual desires. These sinful actions make us accountable to the deterioration of our relationship between God and receive the consequences of these actions. This chapter helps us understand that we can reach salvation through our faith in Christ. It signifies a way for us to avoid doing sins so that we can avoid moral degradation.
Chapter 2 emphasizes judgment and righteousness. He explained and emphasized that God’s judgment is impartial and based on our deeds. He also highlighted that it is not enough to just know of God’s law but to obey it genuinely. Paul also emphasizes that true righteousness is a matter of inner transformation rather than the outward appearance of a person. This chapter focuses on self improvement and accountability before God, regardless of their background or knowledge of the law. It helps us understand what God expects of us and how to live faithfully.
Chapter 3 now tells us that righteousness doesn’t come through observing the law but through our faith in Jesus. He explained that all of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, so we are to be redeemed by Christ Jesus. It reinforces the idea that salvation is available to all who believe in him regardless of their background. As humans we are capable of making mistakes but through Christ we can atone for these sins and make a better future for ourselves. But though he is all forgiving we must carefully make decisions in our lives so that we may not stride too far from his salvation.
Romans chapter 1 2 and 3 remind me that despite how faulty humans are, God’s love and salvation are accessible to all who believe in him. It forms a foundation for what the Christian faith is about and what salvation through Jesus Christ might be. It encourages us to believe in him and develop further our Christian faith in him.

What is Whole Person Education and Multiple Intelligence?By reading books, articles, or any academic papers we can gain knowledge and important information that can help us to increase our intelligence but that only affects one side of intelligence which is our IQ or our Intelligence Quotient. In this article by KnewSTEP Education it focuses on the development of a whole person by integrating the six areas of intelligence which are the IQ (Intelligence Quotient), EQ (Emotional Intelligence), SQ (Social Intelligence), AQ (Adversity Intelligence), CQ (Cultural Intelligence) and FQ (Financial Intelligence). They believe that intelligence is not solely defined by their IQ but by their certain affinity to the different types of intelligence. You might be proficient academically and be able to cope with stress pretty well but lack certain emotional capacities, social skills, money management, and more. That does not mean you have a low intelligence but it just simply means that you excel in these areas than most people. To simply put it, according to KnewSTEP Education “it is not about the IQ score you gain, but rather, your development in a particular area of intelligence”. It really helps us understand that intelligence is multifaceted and people can have different areas of expertise and competence. Which encourages us to have a more inclusive approach to education and develop a healthy type of growth.
