I choose android over apple any day just for the simple reason of it’s freedom and customizability, and android can do many things apple can’t. An example of this is android’s ability to emulate console games from the ps3 and gameboy games, making it my best friend in terms of playing games. It charges faster,it’s cheaper than apple but not inferior, and the fingerprint unlock is integrated to the screen which I have no idea how apple hasn’t gotten yet. GE10 – BBWHAT IS A SILLIMANIAN FOR YOU?
Being a Sillimanian is having alot of things. For me, a Sillimanian is a student that experiences the culture and lifestyle of a student studying in Silliman. Sillimanians are a wide variety of personalities, there are those who actively engage withing the community outside the campus and there are those that only engage in the community withing the campus and there are those who do both, there are students who love the atmosphere of studying withing the school grounds, there are those that love the snacks like cheesebread and tempura. Albeit all different these students mostly all follow the christian teachings of the school by helping others and being exemplary students within their own communities inside and outside school.
WHAT IS YOUR VIEW ON THE MENTAL ASPECT OF MAN?
I think it’s incredible to think that we can think, It’s a wonder when you realize we are the only living thing we know of that can create whatever we want inside our head, we can construct such amazing things like dreams and made up conversations that the only comparison almost at a level to our mental ability is that of computers that we made. In the time since our beginnings we have made many different disciplines, including psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, and sociology to study the mental aspect of humans. We made all of these to just better understand ourselves, our mind and I think that’s pretty cool.

[Reflection]: Romans Chapter 1-3
These chapters in the book of Romans tell us a few things, We are all accountable for our actions,be humble and recognize our own shortcomings than judge others, salvation is a gift from God, and we have to live in a way that honors God’s. In Romans chapter 1, Paul emphasizes that God’s existence is present in the world through his creations, and that turning away from God and and indulging in sin has consequences. Romans Chapter 2 tells us that God’s judgment is unbiased and fairness. He emphasizes that it is not enough to know God’s law but to also obey it. Romans 3, we are told through faith in Jesus Christ people can be made right with God, since all have sinned we need salvation given to us through God. Ultimately, these chapters encourage us to seek a relationship with God with faith.

[Reflection] Whole Person Education: The Goals and the Challenges
Whole person education explained by Dr. Ben S. Malayang III, President of Silliman University, is an approach that aims to nurture competence, character, and faith in students. Whole person education is used to strengthen a students ability to learn and connect with their spiritual beliefs on a deeper level. One insight I gained is that there is a role that organizations play in fostering whole person education, like the United Board with it’s facilitate that can collaboration and develop education with their extensive network across Asian higher education institutions. The entire whole person education is a pretty good approach that addresses some of the needs of students today.
In conclusion, Dr. Malayang’s insights on whole person education highlight the significance and potent potential for Asian higher education institutions. It is a good approach that can prepare students for an ethical life. Only if the faculty can be ready as well as the curriculum should be in it’s transformation for effective implementing, whole person education has the power to shape competent students who can make a impact on society with their cultural and spiritual values.
