ASSIGNMENT: What is the importance of material management in the laboratory and in your life?

Material management is a vital and important component that applies to both our personal daily lives and the laboratory setting. Efficiency in material management ensures that tests are carried out accurately and safely in laboratories. Proper labeling, storage, and disposal of materials prevent contamination and personnel exposure to risks, reduce waste, and ultimately result in cost savings and a healthier environment. It can help us live more sustainably in our personal lives by lowering our resource consumption and waste production. It also has to do with keeping our possessions in order so that our living space is less cluttered and more functional, as well as being organized and mindful of our resources to keep us from overspending. Effective material management ultimately involves being aware of how we use resources both in the lab and in our daily lives.
