Learning Insights for HIS LEC

Studying the practice of medical technology as a first year student revolves around what it means to know the different parts in our body and how certain processes inside our body works. This has been something that I have always admired and aspired to learn. However, learning Medical Technology through the lens of technicalities outside of the body has broadened my perspective towards the field that I have chosen, and learning under HIS Lec has enriched me with knowledge that I know I will be utilizing once I become a medical technologist in the future. Learning the basics of a Health Information System and how it works is essential as this is a crucial aspect in the healthcare field, and this subject has given me the opportunity to learn about the theories, concepts, and frameworks of a Health Information System so that I can do my job properly in the future, and not just as a Medical Technologist, but also as a policy maker and a future leader of the medical field.
