Health Information for Med Lab Science (MT14) has allowed me to take a glimpse into the inner workings of laboratory management by making us simulate a clinical laboratory of our own, which encompassed making laboratory policy and procedure manuals, as well as conducting interviews of actual clinical laboratories across Dumaguete City. With these, I was able to gain insights and familiarize myself with the principles and practices of laboratory management. I have learned the importance of meticulous and careful observation of what is stated in the policies and procedure manuals in providing quality and reliable service that prioritizes the well-being of both customers and laboratory personnel. Moreover, I have also learned that the collaborative effort of the personnel and their effective execution of the roles and responsibilities can ensure a smoother workflow, ultimately leading towards realizing the mission and vision of the clinical laboratory.
