In my experience of learning about Health Information Systems (HIS), I now realize that effective laboratory operations depend on a strong Laboratory Information System (LIS). LIS improves the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic operations, enabling effective patient care, by automating duties. In addition, quality control inside HIS is crucial for assuring accurate and reliable laboratory test findings. Medical technologists and laboratory scientists can uphold the highest standards of data integrity and guarantee precise diagnoses and effective treatment by putting strict quality control procedures in place. Finally, efficient HIS material management is essential for the efficient operation of clinical laboratories. To ensure ongoing laboratory operations and provide correct test findings, proper inventory control, procurement, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment are crucial. Lessons from the whole semester in health information systems will surely help me provide the best possible patient care and enhance healthcare as I learn deeper into the fields of medical technology.

Your body’s circulatory system, also known as the cardiovascular system or vascular system, transports hormones, nutrients, and oxygen to the cells in your body for use in development, repair, and energy production. Carbon dioxide and other waste materials that your cells do not require are also eliminated by your circulatory system.
In order for you to survive, these vital components of your circulatory system keep blood flowing to every cell in your body:– blood is composed of platelets, plasma, and red and white blood cells.

The myocardial, a strong muscle wall, is made up of several layers that make up the heart. The endocardium lines the inside of the heart, while the pericardium, a thin layer of tissue, covers the exterior. The left and right hearts, which are further divided into two chambers each, make up the two halves of the heart cavity.

According to Sendić (2023), Histology studies microscopic structures in cells, tissues, and organs. It is similar to anatomy but on a much smaller scale. Histology also helps us understand the relationship between structure and function, much as gross anatomy concerns how various body sections grow, connect, and interact—by examining a thin slice of a tissue under a microscope, colorized with special staining techniques to see that these seemingly simple tissues hide a complex microworld containing numerous structures with various functions. As medical technologists, we must master or be excellent in this skill as we handle these samples. It enables us to evaluate tissue samples for illness diagnosis and surveillance precisely. Understanding histology enables us to recognize aberrant cellular changes and measure tissue health, which is critical for providing proper patient treatment. Furthermore, histology is required to research novel medical therapies and approaches.Reference:

The primary component of our nervous system is the nervous or nerve tissue. It keeps an eye on and controls bodily processes. The two types of cells that make up nervous tissue are glial cells, which supply nutrition to neurons and aid in the transmission of nerve impulses. Nervous tissue makes up the brain, spinal cord, and nerves; these structures are specialized in quickly transmitting stimuli from one area of the body to another.
The Nervous Tissue Structure is composed of :
– Neurons, which are nerve cells with an axon in each.
– Axons: long, stem-like extensions which are in charge of facilitating cell-to-cell communication.
– Cell body: the primary component which is made up of the cytoplasm, organelles, and nucleus.
– Processes: the extensions of the cell membrane.
– Dendrite: a highly branching mechanism that receives information from synapses.Reference:
