Through this subject, I learned a lot about what is it like to establish and maintain a laboratory. Much like a person, the first and most fundamental thing to do is to set your identity. For an organization, this starts by formulating VMG statements which are like guidelines that aid the organization in navigating through their day-to-day to obstacles. For a laboratory to keep track of the patients it needs to handle, we employ the use of information systems. Even something as simple as simple as pen and paper is enough as long as it aids in the smoothing out all necessary processes like financing, result reporting, and so on. A material management system is like an information system but its more focused on tangible supplies like syringes, evacuated tubes, and so on.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NIV)
“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
