Our body’s circulatory system also known as the cardiovascular system can be compared to a bustling highway network. The arteries and veins acts as roads, carrying nutrients and oxygen to cells like cars transporting passengers to their destinations. This blood flow containing the needed materials maintains the health and functionality of our muscles, tissues, and organs, enabling us to survive. This flow is made possible by the pumping heart.

Back when I was in high school, I took up Computer Systems Servicing as my TVE major. With this subject both lec and lab, I was able to reawaken that part of me. My knowledge from that course was somehow put to good use. As a future medical technology, I see this subject as a good stepping stone towards my growth. Through this subject, I was able to acquire basic knowledge about putting up a laboratory. Although I may not put up one someday, but for sure (hopefully) I will work in one and it’s important to understand the internal processes taking place. Through class discussions, group activity and by reading the book, I gain an in-depth understanding of the processes going on in a clinical laboratory-that every move and every situation is adhered to policies, that there were already expected or calculated mistakes and what to do in those situations. The making of the procedures and manual were good way of exercising what we’ve learned from our other MT subjects, specifically Principles of MedLab Science. Aside from that, I felt like we once in a while became business managers because of all the organizing, advertising and quality assurance stuff. In other words, this subject helped us became multi-skilled, a good attribute for a RMT. I look forward to using this knowledge in the future.
