GE 10 – BBReflection on the Letters of Paul to the Romans (Chapters 1, 2 and 3)
To recall my reflection ideas from chapter 1, the Apostle Paul writes about the sinful nature of humanity and how people have turned away from God. Paul discusses the importance of recognizing and acknowledging one’s own sinful nature. I learned that we should avoid pitfalls of idolatry and sinful desires, which can distract us from our academic and personal goals as students.
In chapter 2, I also remember that Paul continues to discuss judgment and righteousness. He emphasizes the importance of genuine faith and righteousness rather than mere outward religious practices. The idea of impartial judgment serves as a reminder of the importance of fairness and equity in our interactions with others.
In chapter 3, I have read that Paul discusses the universal sinfulness of humanity and how all have fallen short of God’s glory. He discusses the concept of salvation by grace through faith, which can teach us the value of humility and dependence on God in our lives. I learned that this can remind us that everyone, regardless of their past, has the opportunity to find redemption and righteousness through faith.
