To be a Sillimanian is to live out Christian faith, embodying values of compassion, justice, and a love for service. Being a Sillimanian goes beyond academic excellence, it involves holistic development as a student and as a member of the community. A Sillimanian is conscious of community concerns and actively participates in addressing the issues present. In essence, being a Sillimanian means living by the motto “Via, Veritas, Vita” and being committed to serving as a steward of service.

For me, being a Sillimanian isn’t just about the label of studying at this institution, it’s about my commitment to embodying the Sillimanian values. As a member of the Silliman community, I continually strive to uphold these principles, pursuing academic excellence while growing as a compassionate and service-oriented individual. My faith in God is the foundation of my journey. I choose to be part of Silliman, not solely for my personal endeavor but it’s a collective mission to serve and bring about positive change within our community, dedicating everything I do for God.
