    Romans 4 – 📜

Romans 4 teaches us about righteousness and justification above all–that God comes through faith, not through works. In this chapter, Abraham is used as an example in order to effectively demonstrate the mentioned faith in God’s promises. Paul the Apostle highlights how Abraham believed in God’s promises despite his circumstances and limitations, and that his faith alone, not his actions, made him right with God. Romans 4 serves as a timeless reminder that our relationship with God is not solely based on our achievements or adherence to the laws, but rather, it is grounded in our unwavering faith in God and His promises.

Romans 4 teaches us that righteousness is achieved through faith and not by actions. It reminds us that our faith, despite our shortcomings, has the potential to strengthen our relationship with God. It also reminds us that God is ever kind–that His love and acceptance are freely given gifts, available to all who have faith.

    Romans 5– 📜

Romans 5 is a continuation of the previous writing of Apostle Paul such as themes and messages of peace, hope, and God’s love. Apostle Paul writes “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”

Essentially, Romans 5 speaks about what it means to be justified and the blessings that come with it. It tells us that by having peace and access to God, we are still able to have hope and perseverance amidst the sufferings we encounter and go through in life.

Essentially, Romans 5 tells us to rejoice in the glory of God and in our sufferings as well. This is not to be taken as to rejoice in suffering but to rejoice in the midst of it.

    Romans 6 – 📜

The book of Romans is a profound and foundational text and delves into the theological aspects of sin and the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ. It addresses how believers should live in light of God’s grace and salvation.

Apostle Paul teaches us that through faith in Jesus Christ, believers are transformed and forgiven. Paul emphasizes that believers have died to sin’s dominion and are now alive in Christ. They are called to live as instruments of righteousness, not returning to a life of sin. This transformation means that sin should no longer have control over their lives.

Becoming a Christian is not just about receiving forgiveness for our sins but by undergoing change. Romans 6 offers hope and assurance that there is a promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. To be Christian is not merely a label but rather a journey of faith.

Romans 6 serves as a profound reminder that we should not live in a carefree life of sin and that we should live in obedience to God’s righteousness. Essentially, it’s not by avoiding sin alone but by actively pursuing holiness and righteousness through empowerment by the Holy Spirit.
