Silliman University Church was first known as the Dumaguete Mission Station in January of 1901 which was established by American Presbyterian missionaries who came to the Philippines in 1899. The church served various congregations until it was reorganized in 1916 with Dr. Paul Doltz serving as the first pastor of the Silliman Student Church. Eventually, it became the Silliman University Church, ministering to all Sillimanians regardless of their denomination and religious affiliations.
