📍 PORTAL EAST BUILDING

Portal East was officially opened on August 26, 2017, signifying a remarkable addition to Dumaguete City’s skyline as the tallest steel commercial structure in the area. Serving as the counterpart to the Portal West building, which stands opposite it, the Portal complex is strategically situated adjacent to the Gates of Knowledge, symbolically welcoming visitors to the university campus.

A brainchild of the Silliman University Board of Trustees, the Twin Portals Project received generous support from dedicated alumni, notably the Silliman University Alumni Council of North America, aiming to bolster the university’s financial sustainability, enhance its educational offerings, and expand its scholarship programs.

Portal East, a modern four-story building, has been meticulously designed to cater to the requirements of business process outsourcing (BPO) companies, commercial banks, insurance firms, and other corporate entities. Equipped with essential amenities including a spacious parking area, accessible ramps, provisions for persons with disabilities (PWD), and substantial water and power backup systems, the building underscores its commitment to sustainability and resilience, boasting the capability to withstand significant seismic activities and extreme weather conditions.
