Established in 1978 through a generous contribution from the United States of America facilitated by USAID, the Silliman University Library stands as a guiding light of knowledge and international cooperation. Recognized for its significant contributions to education, the library was honored with the esteemed Outstanding Library accolade by the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Libraries (PAARL) in 2011. Notably, it holds the distinction of being one of the largest libraries in Asia as of 2011. Housing an extensive collection surpassing 250,000 volumes of books, the library caters to a wide array of academic disciplines and research areas. Incorporating advanced features such as an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) and a Cyber Library, it ensures students and researchers enjoy seamless access to an abundance of digital resources.
