    What is a nephron?

A nephron is the basic part or the building part of the human kidney, which functions as the filtering unit. The nephrons work through a two-step process: the glomerulus filters your blood, and the tubule returns needed substances to your blood and removes wastes. To put it simply, nephrons are the microscopic structure composed of a renal corpuscle and a renal tubule and is responsible for removing all waste products including the solid wastes, and other excess water from the blood, converting blood into the urine, reabsorption, secretion, and excretion of numerous substances.
