The Digestive System is said to be the longest and the most complex system in the human body. I chose this system because my curiosity told me to delve deeper into it. Here’s a little background of this amazing system. The digestive system is a complicated network of organs that collaborate to break down food into nutrients. It all starts in the mouth, where saliva begins the breakdown of carbs. The chewed food then goes down the esophagus to the stomach, where it is further broken down by gastric acids. Food that has been partially digested travels to the small intestine, where enzymes and bile from the liver and pancreas aid in nutritional absorption. Finally, the remaining indigestible material enters the large intestine, where it absorbs water and produces waste. This complicated mechanism ensures that the body receives the nutrients it requires for energy and function.

Were you able to DIGEST it all? Wait till you study further this system and you’ll be in awe of how it works!!
