WHAT IS HISTOLOGY ART?

Medical Histology is the microscopic study of tissues and organs through sectioning, staining, and microscopic examination of those sections. Histology Art is an artistic and scientific collaboration that aims to explore and celebrate the beauty of histology. Moreover, it is an abstract art form that interprets tissue-diagnostic histology stains in a variety of ways. Histology art, seemingly simple has been a way for some cancer survivors and artist to bring out their emotions. An exhibit was held in Arizona where a cancer survivor and an artist stated that she was drawn to the exhibition as it was both conceptually intriguing and locally inspiring.
