Title: A Glimpse into the Cell
App Used: Procreate
Description: For my artwork, I reimagined the animal cell as the iris of our human eye. I was inspired by artwork with unusual stylized and colorful eyes as the recurring motif. I find that artists are often fascinated with illustrating eyes of differing colors and shapes as eyes are considered the windows to the soul or a person’s inner self after all. So, I thought it would be a fun concept for one of the countless cells that make up a complex structure like our eye to become magnified and visible at first sight, showing a glimpse into the complex machinery behind our ability to see.
