The following illustrations depict a closer look upon the Human Tonsil and Human Lung .

The tonsils are lymphoid organs located at the back of the throat. Histologically, they consist of lymphoid tissue organized into follicles, which contain germinal centers where immune cells, like B cells, proliferate. The tonsils also have crypts, invaginations that increase their surface area, aiding in trapping and processing antigens.

The human lung histology reveals a complex structure optimized for gas exchange. The lungs consist of bronchi, bronchioles, and alveoli. The bronchi have cartilage rings for support and are lined with ciliated epithelium and mucus-producing cells, aiding in airway clearance. Bronchioles lack cartilage but contain smooth muscle for airflow regulation.
