MT30 – CC | LecWhy is histology important?
The importance of histology enables the visualization of tissues, specifically their characteristics and physical structure. The usage of histology in diagnosing diseases such as cancer through the identification of abnormalities in structure and characteristics has been a constant aid to allied medical health professionals (Histology, Staining – StatPearls, 2023). Moreover, it can also be utilized in research through the development of medical intervention approaches to diseases and the burgeoning of drugs in the understanding of their effects and efficacy. In addition, histology does not only limit itself to the field of medical health as it flourishes in the field of forensics. In forensics, an autopsy conducted provides the resources of one’s cause of death. Thus, the significance of histology remains constant in all aspects of the human world.
