Activity 2B (Connective Tissues)
1. Reticular Tissue: It’s like a supportive mesh made of thin fibers. It is found in organs like the spleen, lymph nodes, and bone marrow. It provides a framework for cells and other tissues to attach to and helps filter substances passing through these organs.
2. Bone: It is the hard tissue that forms the skeleton. It’s made up of cells called osteocytes and a matrix of collagen fibers and minerals like calcium. Bones provide support and protection for organs. It also helps in movement by serving as attachment points for muscles. Bones also produce blood cells and store minerals.Sources:
