    “The Neuron Spark”

This histology art showcase the main character of nervous tissues which are the neurons. Nervous tissues are composed of neurons that are specialized cells that make up our nervous system. Every neuron has its own cell body called the soma where cellular activity happens.
Each also has short projections like the dendrites that receive stimuli input from the extracellular environment or other neurons. Long projections like the axon is where the combination of electrical and chemical signals travel to communicate with other cells for bodily function.

The “neuron spark” is a metaphorical concept highlighting the capability of neurons to spark communication, exchanging information between brain and body leading to the expression of one’s actions, thoughts, and sensations. This art hopefully serves as a reminder to sometimes find and express our neuronal spark to communicate freely, in thoughts and actions, with others especially when things seem a little bit gloomy.
