1. Ciliated Epithelium Section (Scanner)
Ciliated epithelial tissue is a simple columnar epithelium that has small, mobile hair-like structures known as cilia. Within this tissue are goblet cells which are cup-shaped cells that are responsible for producing mucous. Tight junctions and adhesive proteins called desmosomes connect epithelial cells, which reside on a layer of tissue called the basement membrane.Reference/s:
