Laboratory Activity: Circulatory Tissues–
📝 Name of Specimen: Artery, Vein, and Nerve, c.s. (focus on arteries and veins)
🔬 Objective/s Used: Scanner, Low-Power, High-Power, and Oil-Immersion Objectives
📚 Description: According to Cleveland Clinic (2021), the circulatory system transports blood from the heart to the lungs, where it is oxygenated before being distributed throughout the body via arteries. Then, veins send oxygen-depleted blood to the heart, restarting the circulation cycle. Depicting from the slide view, this complex system is vital for maintaining the functionality of not just our organs, but also our muscles, and tissues. By examining the slide, it can be deduced that arteries, veins, c.s. aids in circulation and ensures that oxygen reaches every region of the body, allowing for optimal physiological activities.–
