When I need help to understand topics related to anatomy and histology, I always refer to the videos created by the content creator, Amoeba Sisters. Their video about nephrons, for instance, managed to explain its parts and functions in easy-to-understand arguments. From the video, I learned how relevant nephrons are for our urinary system to normally work. Specifically, it is the functional unit of the kidneys and it filters our blood from metabolic wastes generated by our body. Moreover, it plays a pivotal role in maintaining osmotic balance and in pH regulation.
