HUMAN KIDNEY | UROGENITAL SYSTEM TISSUE
🛈 Structure: The human kidneys are bilateral in position and are bean-shaped.
🛈 Function: They function to eliminate toxic metabolites through urine, regulate blood homeostasis and blood pressure, and excrete certain hormones.
🛈 Location: They are found retroperitoneally in the upper left and right abdominal quadrants.
