Activity #4: The Integumentary System
____________________________________________________________
🛈 WHAT IS THE INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM?
Your body wears a suit of armor you can’t take off! This armor, called the integumentary system, is made up of your skin, hair, nails, and glands. It’s like your body’s first line of defense, keeping out germs, shielding you from scrapes and bumps, and even protecting you from the sun’s rays. And it doesn’t work alone! The integumentary system teams up with other systems in your body to keep everything functioning smoothly.
Here below, I have illustrated and labeled 4 integumentary tissues, namely: the human palmar skin, cat skin with hair, human scalp, and human brown skin.
