Medium: Color pencil
Description: 📚
The human cell is the smallest and fundamental unit of life. It is composed of several structures. The nucleus contains the DNA and mandates cellular activity. The cytoplasm surrounding it includes a variety of organelles. The endoplasmic reticulum synthesizes proteins and lipids along with the Golgi apparatus which transports these products. There’s also mitochondria, which is the site of energy production. In addition, the cell membrane serves as a barrier and controls the flow of molecules into and out of the cell. These parts work together to coordinate the complex functions that are necessary for maintaining life within the cell.
