1. Larynx – It is situated in the middle of the neck above the trachea and esophagus. It is a hollow tube known as the voice box. It enables sound production and allows air to move from the throat to the trachea and then to the lungs.
2. Bronchiole – They are small air passages found within the lungs. They branch out in a manner resembling tree limbs originating from the bronchi.
3. Trachea – It is a lengthy tube linking the larynx (voice box) to the bronchi. It has rings of cartilage, and it is lined with mucus-producing cells that serve to protect the lungs by trapping allergens, dust particles, or other debris from entering.
4. Lung – It is essential for breathing. The body has 2 lungs, and it is positioned on either side of the chest, known as the thorax. The thorax refers to the region between your neck and abdomen.
