The oviduct serves as both the site of fertilization and the passageway for oocyte and embryo transport to the uterus in adult mammals.
2. Human Placenta- An organ called the placenta develops in the uterus, often known as the womb, during pregnancy. The umbilical cord, which resembles a tube, connects the placenta to the developing fetus. The placenta gives a developing infant oxygen and nourishment through the umbilical cord.
