Activity 4: INTEGUMENTARY SYSTEM 🔬❕Integumentary system forms the barrier between the external environment and the internal systems of the body. It protects the body from harm and also maintains homeostasis.
❕Scalp is the part of the skin covering the skul. The scalp acts as a protective barrier against external factors and plays a crucial role in the body’s temperature regulation.
❕Hair provides protection against external factors such as sun, wind, and cold temperatures by shielding the skin and maintaining a layer of insulation.
❕Skin is the body’s largest organ, covering the entire surface of the body. The skin acts as a barrier and protects the body against the external environment.
❕Palmar skin is the skin on the palmar surface of the hand. It is essential for gripping and grasping activities and provides protection against mechanical stress and other external factors.
