Skin – the skin is the largest organ in the human body that serves many functions including protection, sensation, temperature regulation, waste excretion and vitamin D production.
Human scalp – serves as a physical barrier that protects the cranium. In addition to physical defenses, it is important aesthetically. It houses the hair follicles from which the hair is born and ensures its growth.
