Activity 6: The Urinary System 🔬🍌
The urinary system is involved in filtering nitrogenous wastes from blood and helps regulate water, electrolyte, and acid-base balances.
Some of the structures I was able to view under the microscope were:
💦 Ureter: a tube-like structure that transports urine from the kidneys to the bladder.
🚽 Urinary Bladder: a hollow organ that temporarily stores urine before it is excreted from the body.
🩸 Kidney: the primary organs of the urinary system. This is where blood is filtered to remove waste products and excess substances, forming urine in the process.
🍌 Penis: the male reproductive that is also involved in the excretion of urine.
