    TYPES OF TISSUES

Tissues are like the building blocks of our bodies, and they come in four main types: epithelial, connective, muscle, and nervous. Epithelial tissue covers and protects surfaces, lines cavities, and forms glands. Connective tissue supports and binds other tissues, and includes bone, blood, and fat. Muscle tissue helps us move, with skeletal muscles for voluntary actions, cardiac muscle for the heartbeat, and smooth muscle for involuntary movements in organs. Nervous tissue, made up of neurons and glial cells, keeps us connected by transmitting signals throughout the body. All these tissues work together to keep us functioning smoothly!
