Palmar skin is hairless, densely packed with sweat glands, and relatively thick and keratinized. The skin on the palms of a human is usually between 0.8 to 1.4 millimeters thick, whereas most other areas of the body are covered by skin only about 0.1 millimeters thick.

🔬Human scalp, c.s. (Scanner)
The scalp acts as a protection against physical injuries and potential infectious pathogens that could affect the cranial vault. Furthermore, it holds aesthetic value, as the hair on the scalp helps conserve heat and plays a role in influencing an individual’s appearance and sexual signaling.
