MT 13 – GH 1 year, 9 months ago The cell is a unique and complex system made up of organelles that have their own purpose and work hand-in-hand to keep the cell alive. From the Nucleus, the control center of the cell. The Ribosomes, site of protein synthesis. The Lysosome, the digestive stomach of the cell. The Endoplasmic Reticulum, site of synthesis of nutrients and secretion. The Mitochondria, the metabolic powerhouse of the cell. And MANY MORE organelles exist within the cell.
The cell can be interpreted in ways that have a holistic system where each and every part contributes to the overall idea of what it has to offer. To me, similar to the description mentioned is the local Filipino dessert, Halo-Halo, which contains banana (saging), jackfruit (nangka), ube ice cream, ice (yelo), jelly (gulaman), peanuts, coconut, flakes, and leche flan. Each and every ingredient of the Halo-Halo may seem different and odd, but when thoroughly mixed and with a large scoop right into your mouth, would give you a sweet and satisfactory taste that would leave your taste buds wanting for more.
