MT 13 – GH 1 year, 4 months ago The urinary system consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. It filters waste and excess substances from the blood, produces urine, and maintains fluid and electrolyte balance. The kidneys also regulate blood pressure, pH, and red blood cell production. Urine is carried from the kidneys through the ureters to the bladder, where it is stored until excreted through the urethra.
