MT 30 LEC – AA (HISTOLOGY ART) 1 year, 2 months ago Urinary Bladder (Epithelium). This Urinary Bladder is unique because it can stretch and change shape. When the bladder is empty, the cells are more cuboidal in shape, but as the bladder fills and stretches, the cells become more flattened to accommodate the increased volume. This ability to stretch is essential for the bladder’s function in storing urine.
