The article really has an in depth discussion of the nervous tissue, how it makes up the nervous system, as well as a few paragraphs focusing on the nervous system itself. From topics like the central and peripheral nervous system, the cells that make up the brain, their functions, and the different lobes of the brain, this article covered numerous aspects of the nervous system. A few of my takeaways include the 4 lobes of the brain and their functions—temporal (sensory information, emotional meaning language erception, long term memory), parietal (avigation, otuch, space sense), occipital (visual cortex), and frontal (dopamine sensitive neurons, short term memory, ttention, motivatio, planning) —, a fun fact about the cerebrospinal fluid—it is a fluid surrounding both the brain and spinal cord—, and the 4 types of neurons—multipolar, bipolar, unipolar, pseudounipolar.
